MISSION STATEMENT

Casti HRW Club’s mission is to work closely with the Human Rights Watch organization to educate the Castilleja community about global human rights abuses, identify those in a position to address those abuses, and therefore affect change.  We see a need for more fact-based awareness of human rights violations, and we see potential to have impact not just through fundraising but through political advocacy, such as letter-writing, petitions, or appealing to our elected officials.  Our ACE org would replicate the powerful action model of Human Rights Watch:  “Investigate, Expose, and Change.”

As an Ace Org, we will strive to educate our members about injustices in the world today, utilizing HRW as a resource and a backbone. Then, with this information, we will advocate for change by reaching the highest levels of power and by committing to hands on projects that will directly benefit the victims of suffering.

OUR LEADERS

Casti HRW Club is led by two Juniors, Molly Glickman and Olivia Vercruysse. They are passionate about both local and global issues and are excited about working with Human Rights Watch.

Molly and Olivia both have previous experience with working with clubs and issues, and both of their families are involved with the Human Rights Watch Organization.

They both love the water, including swimming, water polo, and of course, going to the beach! Molly has a super cute dog and Olivia has to funky chickens. They love hanging out with friends and their family.
